The 4th Annual soccer match between the JC Old Boys Association of Florida and the StGC Old Boys Association of Florida for the Dennis Ziadie Trophy, was played on Saturday April 26th, 2008.

STGCOBAFL's Christopher Ziadie was voted the Most Valuable Player of the match.

The event was in honour of the memory of Dennis Ziadie, who coached both schools to Manning Cup victories. This year marked the 22nd anniversary of his death in an auto accident while attending the 1986 World Cup in Mexico as coach of the Jamaica Under-20 team.

An excellent all-round athlete at St. George's and later renowned Jamaican footballer/coach, Dennis Ziadie played on the Jamaican National Team and in the North American Soccer League (NASL) with the Boston Beacons.

The Jamaica College Old Boys Association (JCOBAFL) did an excellent job of organizing and promoting the clash between JCOBAFL and STGCOBAFL, but St. George's took the honours on the field, maintaining their unbeaten record in this event.

Inspired on-field by STGCOBAFL President Trevor "Speedy" Palmer, the Georgian Senior team (players over 40) led by Denis Chung played well against an equally-talented Jamaica College team in the opening game. This match ended in a 0-0 draw .

A confident JC Eleven captained by Dr. Scott “Scotty” Hamilton took the field in the feature game, and quickly dominated play with some well-coordinated man-to-man passing which earned them a goal while the StGC players were still settling down. Unfazed by this, the St. George's team - which included 3 of Dennis Ziadie's sons Chris, Nicholas and Craig - fought back valiantly to gain the equalizer several minutes later. The hard-fought and exciting first half featured many dazzling displays of skill by both sides, and ended with a 1-1 scoreline.

During the half-time break there was an entertaining penalty shootout competition between alumnae of several Jamaican Girls High Schools (Alpha, St. Hugh's, Immaculate, MoBay High, Holy Childhood), which was won by Liz of MoBay High with a perfect score of 3 out of 3. The Association teams then returned to the fray.

JC bolstered their side for the second half with some big guns including former National Team player Hector Wright, but they were no match for the determined Georgians captained by Christopher Ziadie. Urged on by a large, enthusiastic crowd of spectators, StGC scored 2 more exciting goals to emerge victorious when the spirited game ended 3 - 1.
